At approximately 11am this morning while peacefully practicing my 1st amendment rights at a standout in Swampscott, I was premeditatedly and viciously attacked by a known follower of BLM AND ANTIFA. I was taken to the hospital and while the severity of my injuries is still being assessed, I was released and am at home resting.
I want to let all my cousins know that this attack -- like those previously inflicted on me by members of known terrorist groups -- has only strengthened my resolve to defend and preserve liberty, to ensure a fair election process and to re-elect Donald J. Trump for a second term. I ask all my cousins to let this attack serve also to strengthen your resolve to continue the fight, as well.
I want to emphasize to all my cousins that I am deeply grateful for your continued support and I am proud that your efforts make every standout, every event and every effort we make together to reelect President Trump successfully.
Today’s attack on me by the liberal left is an attack on the very principles on which our nation was founded. What pains me most of all is that the perpetrator of this attack chose to commit his crime but a short distance from a memorial honoring the life of Abednego Ramsdell , the first soldier to die at the battle of Lexington. I have no doubt that this brave citizen soldier would be simply devastated to know the same tyranny that killed him is once again being freely practiced in his hometown.
This flagrant attack is but one more example of how these groups use violence as a standard practice – the same that is increasingly being accepted as the norm in America. I have been assured that the perpetrator of today’s attack will be served with the fullest extent of the law – for those who regularly practice such crimes, especially those desiring to attack me in the future, please let this incident serve as a warning that you also will be served the fullest extent of justice that the law permits.
While the level of vitriol by the liberal left has risen sharply during this election, there is absolutely no occasion whatsoever that violent behavior should be exacted on others, nor should it be permitted to continue by the leadership of such hate groups, both here in Maga-chusetts and leading all the way up to former Vice President Joe Biden. To borrow the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, "He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it.”
Thank you all for your concern and I love you all – I just wanted to let you know that for the time being, I’m resting and will be giving you an update as soon as I am able.
God bless America and God bless President Trump.
